Welcome to the Freestone Climbing new website and blog. We’ve been working in the outdoors and offering climbing and hill walking courses for many years but it wasn't until the enforced boredom of lockdowns that gave us the time and motivation to create the site and blog.
It's a changing time for the outdoor industry, previously a good proportion of our work has been freelancing for other organisations but this is possibly becoming less common, with large groups in one place being unlikely for some time. That combined with the general increase in people using the outdoors for both hill walking and outdoor climbing should hopefully enable us to offer courses and activities for both people new to the outdoors or those wishing to increase their knowledge and skills. So please feel free get in touch.
We have no specific plans for the blog, hopefully it’ll be a place for anything from trip reports to skills and ideas, all relating to the mountains and mountaineering. Any ideas you’d like to see please let us know.
Also we’d like to thank anyone who’s helped with the site from computery technical stuff, providing/staring in the pictures to checking the spelling!!
